Enemy pronounciation ( In-Uh- Me). Often times we look for the enemy outside of us. We're missing the fact that were fighting an enemy that's on the inside of  us. When Jesus died on the cross He took back all power and dominion. But Satan isn't trying to give up the battle so He fights us with our emotions and feelings... the thing called flesh. He cannot make us do anything but He can manipulate us to do things. That's why God says those who loose their life for the sake of his will find it. We are dealing with a soul problem. God is trying to kill that very thing that we are holding on to. What good is it to gain the world if you lose your soul? Paul had to die daily because flesh and emotions will be stumbling blocks. Look at Peter! Jesus was giving a sermon on His journey to the cross. Peter didn't want to hear about the agony that went along with it. He was in his feelings so he rebuked Jesus. He prayed against the very thing that Jesus was called to do. Jesus had to rebuke satan from using Peter as a stumbling block toward his purpose. The fact that we don't even realize were being used by the enemy is crazy. We've aloud him to taint our mind with thoughts to the point where they are bombarded with lies. Lies of who you are, who you're  not, what you can and can't do, what you deserve. It's a prison! The battlefield of the mind is so real. We have to be careful of who's truth we are listening to! Killing your flesh is by no means easy in fact I struggle with it. So I challenge you to join this journey with me to defeat the in-uh- me that's in your mind. Stay in your word, be alert because it will not come easy!

Father I thank you that the enemy is defeated and he is under my feet. We realize that we are wrapped in sinful flesh but we realize that we serve a BIG God that is able to keep us from falling! We lean not on our own power but on YOUR power! We are running to you for refuge. We've tried on our own and been left empty and hopeless. But with YOU there is a great hope and rivers of flowing water to satisfy our thirst. Help us to forgive ourself of our tresspasses, sin, iniquity, and unfaithfulness. Give us strength and power (dunamis) to conquer and overcome every enemy that's within us that has been a stumbling block and strong hold in us. Give us a seed of unwaviering faith. In Jesus name, amen.

Who would have thought there was a season geared towards second chances. By second chances i'm speaking on second chance after second chance.

This blog has afforded me an outlet to be transparent. It is transparency that has kept me holding on to this walk with Christ. I don't know about anyone else but I am no where near perfect so to hear perfection in the earth tends to discourage me. I press so hard towards the mark of perfection. So I enjoy hearing the uncut version of people's testimonies. It helps me and reaches me in the very places I struggle with. So hopefully you the reader are being blessed from my blog posts.

God is a just God! His wrath is nothing to play around with!!!! This morning God revealed an aspect to me that I knew of but didn't quite understand it for myself. I said this mornig But its actually every morning He's been doing it. 

Luke 13: 7-9 In this parable Jesus speaks of God being the vineyard owner and Jesus is the gardener, while we are the tree that needs to repent. In the parable Jesus, the gardener, tells God, the vineyard owner, to give the tree a second chance to produce fruit. 

Key word for the treem REPENT! Often times we think repenting is a prayer to God saying sorry for... please forgive me I will not do it again. But true repentence contains a renewal of the mind and heart. God is pleased with a broken spirit and contrite heart because its vulnerablity is pliable for Him to work in... harden not your heart!

The ax is at the root of every tree (person) that is not bearing good fruit. In Colossians 3:5 we are instructed to mortify (put to death) members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil, desire, and coveteousness, which is idolatry.

Let's break this scripture down God is not telling us to kill people! He is telling us to kill earthly thinking and habits. Some people may be waiting on their God sent mate and the passion (speaking about lust) is so strong it becomes an idol and covetness springs up alongside fornication. Ephesians 5: 3 directs us to let no fornication, and all uncleanness be named among us. That means if you are in a relationship with someone and you both can't refrain from fornicating or friendships where unclean speech takes place then you need to remove yourself! Your life is depending on it. God is instructing you its up to you to recieve knowledge and put it to work. 

  If we do not take heed to this opportunity of a second chance Luke 13:27 say I know you not, depart from me workers of iniquity. The gate is narrow and very few find it/ enter in. Please listen, hear, understand, and recieve this for we do not know when He's coming back! Be ready! Stay ready so you can recieve your crown of victory!

Father thank you for your patience and mercy! Without it the ax would have cut me down a long time ago. Thank you for every reader may this word reach firm ground. May it set a foundation in their hearts. I pray that you continue to nurture this word in their hearts by weeding and uprooting things that were hidden for their demise and instead water and saturate their hearts to they may grow in Your image. Father fogive give us for rebelling knowing and unknowingly against You. Give us a clean and renewed heart along with a fresh eyes and thinking. Help us to die daily so we may ressurect the Christlike characteristics in us. Forgive us for turning the blessings You have for us into idols. Tear down every idol that we have made and take back Your place in our lives which is the central part. Apart from You we are nothing. Thank You! We love You Abba. Amen.

Gomer is a woman in the Bible found in the book of Hosea. Hosea was instructed to take the prostitue, Gomer, as his wife. Knowing her background He followed God's instruction. How many of us can say we'd trust God in that. Before marriage she was bound to prostitution and after marriage she became an adulterous woman. They later concieved and the thought of whether or not the baby was Hosea's had to have crossed his mind. Yet, he remained faithful to his unfaithful wife. He loved her very much. 

The point I am making in this post is that we all have fallen short on this walk. Satan doesn't discriminate on whom he choses to plan to devour. Even those who like Paul press to the mark and seek to follow the road of perfection like Christ, we just don't always get it right. The Father's grace is mad real. I'm writing to testify because I am surviving off of His grace without it I literally would be dead or in a deep depression. It amazes me!

Like Gomer God's church has been unfaithful yet He loves us unconditionally. He hasn't put us away. Instead, he remains patient and faithful. His steady heart for Gomer (the church) continues to beat. Love never fails, it never runs out, it never gives up. Love is the essence of God, He is the foundation of love. In fact, God is LOVE! 

I hope you guys understand God loves the hell out of you literally. He loves you so deeply you won't even want to do any wrong.  It's nothing we have deserved or earned. Perfect love is what completes us. So adulterous man/ woman allow God to clothe you in his love. Ignorance stems from ingnoring truth/ facts and being oblivious stems from looking away from the obvious. If God isn't being glorified walk away and follow the voice of the holy spirit. There is greator awaiting you. Trust God!

Father, thank you for this word. Thank you that Your love makes us perfect. No earthly man or woman, or thing can feel the void in our hearts that longs for Your love. Help us not resist Your love. Give us strength to overcome every oposition that comes our way. Increase our discernment and feel our hearts with a desire to please you with all we do and say. Forgive us for tresspassing and rebelling against you. Give us a true heart of surrender and repentance. No more sacrifices but pure obedience to You Father. In Jesus name, amen.

I just want to express how blessed and thankful I am. I tell you when you are operating outside of God's will life feels harder and tiresome. Like God has been speaking to me for quite sometime on some things that I hessitated to move into! Whatever GOD is telling you to do DO IT!!! 

That's for another post though! Let's get back on track. Intimacy... when I hear that word immediately I think of two lovers, their closeness, their bond, their familiarity with one another. That's just the same with God. See he constantly refers to the church, the body of believers/ God's people, as the bride while He is our bride groom. I don't know about you all but before I say I do and vow to be faithful to someone I need to know the ins and outs about that person. 

We are currrently in the stages of courting God. Courting is what we now call dating except the meaning is much higher. We are dating with a purpose and that purpose focuses on the goal of a marriage. Wow so as we are in a courtship with God we must keep an open line of communication. In a carnally perspective when we are dating or talking to someone but go days without communicating the disconnect forms problems. Some of the problems that may occur are unfaithfulness, confusion, and losing focus. 

Intimacy, so many people long for it. In fact, we were created to recieve and give it. Check this out God was so into us that He sent Jesus to save us. Mind you Jesus is God in the flesh. God is so head over heals for us that He died in place for us so that we would live. What boyfriend or girlfriend do you know that would die to save your life!?  He's feeling us so much that he knows the amount of strands of hair on our head, I don't even think my mom knows that information about me and she loves me. 

Intimacy- break it down IN- TO- ME- SEE. It takes work! There are some cost that come with it. You may have to give up some things. You may have to lose a little bit of sleep. You have to look deeper and harder, spend more time. Its a trust that you are forming. And who trusts strangers with valuable things? God is calling His people higher, deeper IN-TO-ME-SEE. Who is willing to knock?

Lord I just want to thank you for this word. You said the Father corrects those who He loves. So Father I pray for forgivesness for not giving you the first fruits of my harvest which is time. Time to search deeper to reach that intimacy you desire with me. God I pray that we as Christ's body live up to our full potential. Help us God to move up a level in our love walk with You. Give us power and strength to fulfill the tasks you left us here to do. Thank you Holy spirit for directing us , mentoring, and teaching us. I am so in awe of You Lord. Thank you for filling me back up. May God continue to rest in your life and may the Holy Spirit dwell in your life so you may bear God's fruit! Love you all! In Jesus name. Amen.

Hey guys I know its been a while. I've been so busy thus I've been a bit disconnected.

I was just going to journal this but I thought why not share will you all. Disconection means to sever, interrupt, or to lose connection between someone or something. As I was typing the definition images began to flow through my mind like when your traveling on a country road and you're on your cell phone and all of a sudden the phone DISCONNECTS! (I know I'm not the only one who answers calls while on the road) Also, I pictured a cell phone that died from being disconnected from the power source (phone charger). Or how about a baby that continues to cry while being held by an unfamiliar face, there's a disconection between the baby and his or her mother. 

Let's drive right on in with a view bullet points!

The causes of disconnection.

1. In reference to the lost connection between two individuals on the phone. Our walk with God can be disconnected when we step outside of God's will and plan for our life. There are so many interpertations of this But according to the Bible as we delight in God and seek His heart we will become more intune with that will. Then will the verse where it states God will give us the desires of our hearts happens. Why would God grant the desires of our hearts when in it lies hate, envy, greed, wickedness, pride the list goes on. Jesus was in the garden and he prayed a selfish prayer (that was the desire of his heart speaking). He asked God please take this cup from me! He came boldy to the throne with that I mean he was sweating bullets of blood thats intense! Did God grant that request, was he given the desires of his heart! NO? Why because it wasn't God's will. God's will for our lives doesn't just end with us, in fact it's the opposite, it's only the beginning. There was a chosen people waiting on Jesus to fulfill his assignment. Redemption started with Christ. Thank God Jesus redirected His prayer saying let thy will be done! It is a surrender to God saying Lord I trust you. It's selfless. God's ways are not our ways.

2. Another way we are disconnected in our spiritual walk is much like the dead cell phone. We fail to plug in to the power source. The power source represented here is God! We must stay in constant communication. This is where I stumble as well as others. We get so caught up in our busy schedules; work mon-fri 8am-6pm, lesson plans, workout, meal prep, play basketball, photography, painting, teach sunday school, attend two different church services, baby sit, make time for loved ones, speaking engagements, paint. That's my schedule by the way its draining. In all those things I failed to mention reading the bible or spending alone one on one time with God. It's sad but its true. Thus diconnection occurs and stress levels arise because the spirit (its not really a spirit) of super christian appears. Even Jesus had to use his power bank (you know those portable chargers they sell at 5 below?) to charge up. he would go to the mountains and garden alone to talk with God. 

3. Or like the baby disconnected from the mother we become uncomfortable because we are seeking a nurturing touch from unfamiliar sources. For instance, christianty can be a lonely walk if you buy into that lie! I just got a revelation because I myself was buying into that. The enemy wants you to feel alone and isolated. I am so upset because there was a verse i wanted to quote where one of God's chosen people made a claim they were the only one who lived for God. God fired back saying that he had a set people that were plenty that served the Lord. Don't compromise and follow the patterns of the world and get comfortable with sin. Embrace being set apart!

I hope this word blessed you because it has shed some light in my life as to way Ive had health problems, feeling out of sorts, and easily distracted. Father it is my prayer that we go back to our first love and become the bride that you are longer for. Help us to recognize that you are more than enough. God remove the things that are intended to get us off course. Help us to get back to worshipping you the way that you deserve in spirit and in truth. Forgive us for any sin that we have been entangled in and help us to be strong enough to repent from it. God loose us from any lies of the enemy that has casued of to become faint. Help us to gain strength and courage for our journey as you have given Joshua. Increase our wisdom for good and not for evil. Imprint your heart on ours so that when we pray out our prayers are in alignment with your will. Thank you Lord for being a living scarifice. In Jesus name Amen.

Who's truth are you believing? I once was told there's no truth or lie. I have absolutely never heard that statement before. I fired back with a scenario I had with one of my students about them lying about a reward that was due them, which I had already given to them. Then the person whom I conversed with about there being no truth and lie suggested that truth is based off of perspective.

Looking at truth as a perspective who's truth are you believing today? I was challenged to dig in my word deeper to uncover the secrets that God has concealed to his chosen that are willing to seek whole heartedly. 

God has taken me on a wild journey towards revelation. One truth that was revealed is the scenario from way back in the Garden with Adam and Eve. Many of us , myself included, believed God created things in which were deemed evil. But how can a JUST God create something wicked? God warns us of the tables we partake in because food to the eater creates a closeness that liteerally abides in us. Think of it when you eat you have to digest your food. It is now dwelling and abiding in you. Same with Adam and Eve with the fruit. The surpent (Satan) planted a seed in the two which in turn impregnants Eve and forms Cain. It is almost as though Cain and Able are twins with two different fathers. Adam never fathers Cain. Instead Cain learns from the snake.

Satan is very crafty and skilled at tricking, decieving, killing and stealing. Cain was a tiller (crafty worker of the ground) while able was a keeper of the sheep. If you're not familiar with the story Cain kills his brother. God curses him.

Deception doesn't just end there. The lineage of Adam never even speaks on Cain. Out of Adam is Seth who takes the place of Abel. See for yourself Genesis 2-4. If you look at Cain's lineage God uses names similiar to if not the same as the names in Adam's lineage which will soon carry our Savior Jesus Christ. For instance, Lamech, Enoch, a name close to Methuselah. These are no kin to Noah! 

Satan will trick you into believing something that is not. He knows the word but He twists it. Thus, we have to be on alert! Wolf in sheeps clothing is what we call it today. Stay on alert study the word for yourself! Be encouraged!

I pray that you will recieve Godly wisdom. I pray a hedge of protection around you. May God reveal to you YOUR TRUE self so you may walk into the calling that is placed on your like. I rebuke and fear or calamity that seeks to steal your peace of mind and joy. May you lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge God in all of your ways. Put your trust in the Lord for He will not fail you! In Jesus name Amen.

Process- a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.

That defiinition explains that a process is a journey, which means it takes time.

I was outside watching my mother cut the grass and noticed the weeds and grass around the fence were not being tended to so I went to the garage and got the grass scissors. I began cutting and thinking in my mind nobody uses the scissors for the whole yard I need a weed wacker. Plus it will be quicker and less work. Then another thought hit me like omg all these cars keep passing by and they probably like "look at that fool, what is she doing" lol yea my mind is a battlefield clearly.

God revealed to me that in our life He takes us through a "pruning" process. Pruning is a horticultural and silvicultural practice involving the SELECTIVE REMOVAL of parts of a plant, such as branches, buds, or roots.

I know you're like how does that correlate. Well seeds are planted in our life some positive and some negative. If we were to get the quick fix weed wacker then we kill the good seeds along with the bad seeds (which is helping the enemy with his destructive plan). And branches pertains to our group association sometimes removal from a group is needed it may be temporary or permanent. For instance, God will instruct you to move away from friends that like to drink if He is delivering you from drinking. Buds are defined as undeveloped or embryonic shoot. Everyone has dreams or passions that they have yet to paint out in life, that is a bud. So it is important to be selective in not cutting off God's plans and vision for your future before it grows. For instance, my dad has put together a skills and drills camp for the youth. Every dream starting out is challenging, right now he is facing discouragement for the number of kids showing up and finances. If he decides to quit he is cutting the bud off and everyone connected to that dream or vision dies (the enemy's destructive plan). Lastly, roots! Sometimes God must pull back layers upon layers of the problems we face just so we can see the true root of the problem. You be suppressed by all the masks that low self esteem wears to cover up the real reasoning behind it. Such roots can go all the way back to childhood and may seem so small but as time went on the deception of the enemy compiled all his lies to build up walls for the prision he put your mind in.

 Im writing you this message to encourage you to keep on moving in the process. Healing is a process. One cannot physically be healed unless healing (renewal) in the mind takes place. It may seem uncomfortable, it may feel like your doing it wrong, it may seem like a dragged out process. But you must trust God and know that it takes time, and believe that you're progessing forwardly. Believe it or not the weeds I cut around the fence looks much better than before I started.

I pray that you, the reader, will step out of your comfort zone and trust God. Trust His plan of good, and an expected end for you. Continue to remind us of your truth that you will "drive them (enemies) out little by little until we increase to take over the land" (Exodus 23:30). Help us to be more patient during this process of healing. And help us to remain focused on you. We want to be firm in you with no doubts in your faithfulness! We love you and we thank you for who you are, which is unchanging! We understand that we cannot do anything without. We give you permission to take us through this process. We bind every spirit that tries to whisper deception (mind-binding, insecurity, fear, doubt, reasoning, worry) we call them out and cast them back down to the pit of hell. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers and for the gift of revelation. In Jesus name. Amen.

How would you feel if you entrusted something that you invested time and energy in to to someone to use and they misused it? You recieve it back less than the value it had before you lent it out.... Wouldn't you feel upset or angry?

Well don't you think God feels the same way towards us when we are not using our gifts and talents in the proper way intended? For instance, there are talented music artist that misuse their gifts by worshipping cars, clothes, money, and sex through their lyrics. There are wealthy people who store up their resources in the earth instead of giving back by investing in God's people. There are gifted athletes who don't give God all of the glory for their success. The list goes on God is not pleased. God showed me His anger by allowing me to experience my own share of being the one who lends a possession to someone to find out that in return my possession came back all out of order, bent out of shape, and broken.

That describes us. See in this world there is evil because we are living in a fallen world. God handles the TIMING and TIME of things we just have to be responsible for the distractions. Distractions of fear, worry, trying to juggle too many tasks at once, engaging in the wrong crowd or activites makes our focus turn from God and in turn we form a new shape. God commands us to seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and everything else will be added. So with the little things God entrusts us with its vital that we take care of those things whether its friendships, ministry, finances, careers... Don't take things for granted because its in that moment where the determing factor is made. Can God trust you with more responsibilty. Can God elevate you or promote you to greater or more? Take a minute to think on the tasks that God is calling you to do are you being faithful in the process or are you going through the motions carelessly?

I pray that you the reader recieves discernment on the calling, the time, and the season of you life that God has placed on you. I pray that Father You give us a surrendered heart to You so that we may crucify our flesh, and our will so that Your will can be done on us, in us, and through us. Show us more of Your power and glory. Forgive us for misusing our talents and time and in turn teach us the proper way to live for Your glory. Saturate our hearts and minds with you love.Refine our wisdom to know more of you. We love you and we need you. Take us higher.Strengthen us to overcome the darts and snares that the enemy throws our way. We bind every tactic of satan. And we stand firm on Your everlasting promises of peace and prosperity. In Jesus name Amen.

Don't kill whats functioning or working by focusing on the weeds of life.

Last week my mother and I cut the grass because the grass was tall and not only tall but had the yellow dandilions springing up. I don't know about you but to me that makes a lawn look so "ratchet". It looks a mess!

Like lawn care our lives are similiar. We have weeds that we grow along with. Weeds are wild plants that grow up unwanted.

Let's look at things that we tend to view as unwanted in our lives. Financial burdens, bad relationships/ friendships.... to name a few.

Like a real life weed you cannot attack the problem unless you kill the weed from its root. Say you are having money issues. You must attack the root of the problem. I at one point in time of my life wasted money on the newest trends (shoes, clothes, fast food, clubs). I have a closet full of Jordans that I no longer wear/ never worn. Is it really that serious to splurge and later feel the spirit of depression or unease because you spent money that you really didnt have to spend?

People can be weeds in your life. God made us all unique so at times we don't see eye to eye with one another. Do not shut down and try to avoid people or isolate yourself. Believe it or not weeds help the grass grow. If you focus on the weed and try to zap it with weed be gone you kill not only the weed but the healthy grass too. So I had this weed like person in this particular situation they was really argumentative, unfair, and rude. I felt myself becoming an ugly person so as a way of dealing with the situation I took it upon myself to remove myself from the whole situation. But by doing that I would take the easy way out and kill the growth. You can not love people when you are isolated! How will you learn or experience loving and dealing with unlovable ways if you are to yourself isolated?

Some people put up barriers from being hurt in past relationships. Key word PAST. In order to grow in Christ we have to move forward. Attacking the root of this problem is a battle in the mind. Shift your thinking from past-present to present-future. It's not to say that we gain ignorance we learn to embrace what was and move towards whats to come. You cannot be a good wife holding on to bitterness from your past relationships. You can not be a good parent holding on to gudges from your childrenhood that caused pain and hurt. We must forgive and CHOOSE to be better.

Remeber when I told you how we had cut the grass? Well in case you forgot we cut the grass and all those ugly want to be yellow flowers (the weeds). The lawn was looking nice! For a day!!!!! The next day them bad boys grew back... MORE... ALL OVER THE PLACE... EVERYWHERE... WITH NEW WEEDS, the wish fuzzy ones.

Just like our lives if were not careful our problems become worse... We must get in order with God His word and plans for our lives.

Father in the name of Jesus, I just want to start by giving you all of the glory and the honor. Lord help us to come under Your divine order and purpose for our life. I pray that You will send us discernment and wisdom. Father help us to be students as You teach us how to be good stewards of the resources and friendships that You have alloted us. I pray Father that this seed reaches the mark and is planted in good soil. Lord heal those who are broken and renew our minds. May your spirit of peace and comfort rest and abide with us. Amen.
